If you're reading this right now, that means you're checking out my blog. If you're taking time out to check out my blog that's awesome, since I have your attention right now I would like to share an experience. I was in Lansing, MI covering another fashion show, the fashion she was " Walk 2 Lansing Edition " . This was my first time covering their fashion show but by the rep that they have I kind of knew it was going to turn out great. Once I got to the hotel that was hosting the event I quickly moved to the media area so I could pick a great spot, although I started off in the back of the pit I moved to the front after 30 minutes into the show. Once I got to the front that's when I was able to capture tons of great images which you can see on my Facebook page. I do think they could've picked a bigger place to hold the show at though just to give people a little more elbow room. That's the only thing I could think of that would've helped improve the show. Back on the positive side I think everybody that came out enjoyed their self. You can check out all the images I captured on my Global Visions Facebook page.

Black Out Fashion Show
I had the pleasure of photographing at the Black Out fashion show in Flint, Michigan on February 8th. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to make it to the event due to the snow storm the night before, luckily the highway wasn't too bad at all. I always look at fashions shows as a great opportunity to network and meet designers & models that I would like to work with. This event I decided to focus on getting male models to work with. I figured I let viewers see the preparations of a fashion show instead of getting the same shots as the other photographers. A lot of time went into getting models ready which you would see in the video that I put together.
When I first arrived to the building I already had a plan and knew what video footage I wanted to capture. Once they told me where my seat was I knew I wasn't going to be able to get a lot of runway images. I did like the idea of how the runway was set up but the angle that the 2nd group of photographers was at, it would have been hard to get great shots without the crowd in the photograph. I only say that because the models was told not to pose just turn the corner and continue walking. Like I told another photographer there, I believe I came unprepared because a 70-200mm or a 85mm would have helped since they posed a ways away from us.
After getting a few good runway shots I relocated backstage to mingle and get some candid shots. A photographer from Seven Seventy Photography was backstage doing the same thing. Three designers stood out to me at the fashion show, La Vas like always came with the most creative styles. Kemi Kloset was also in the show, I love the colors and how she thought outside the box while coming up with the outfits she showcased. Last but not least was bow ties by Cortez Occasional Creations I enjoyed the presentation of his designs. You would think they would had an add in GQ magazine how sharp they were. I would like to thank Jeremy Cornelius for inviting me to a great fashion show.

Grand Opening of Club Aces
I had the opportunity to photograph at club Aces formally known as the " Shadow Bar ", on February 2, 2013. The club is located in Hamtramck, MI but it had been shut down for 2 years and this was the grand opening! Luckily, we had decent weather which made it a good turn out.
I'm not much of a club person but the women that were working and serving drinks made my job easier by posing and being in the right places at the right time.
This was my second time photographing at a club, so I was lucky to have a lens with a wide aperture with a powerful flash to make my photos "pop". I was glad to work in a fast pace environment because it taught me to quickly operate my camera. (I'm not sure what you know about cameras but adjusting the ISO is as critical as shifting gears when you're drag racing. It just makes for a better photo.)
I put up a few images of the night so people can see what you'll be getting yourself into by coming out on a Saturday night.
